G-Reeds models and hardnesses

G-REEDS are available in 3 different models. The aim of this variety is to satisfy the requirements of every saxophonist.

G-REEDS are available in hardnesses ranging from #1.0 to #4.5 in 0.5 increments. The following table shows a comparison between the hardness of G-REEDS and other synthetic reeds. We omitted natural reeds from this comparison for one very simple reason: their inconsistency makes it impossible to compare their hardness with that of synthetic reeds. On the other hand, natural reeds vary in hardness depending on climatic conditions, mainly ambient humidity.
